NEW MENTORSHIP PROGRAM ASSIGNMENTS - Welcome Your Mentees!

Peer Leaders, thank you for your patience! Mentorship assignments are now finalized and have been sent to your school email.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

👥 Each Peer Leader is matched with 2-3 freshman mentees

📧 Check your email for your specific assignments

🗓️ First mentor/mentee meetup: Next Wednesday, Jan 29th during lunch

📍 Location: Cafeteria tables 15-20 (designated Peer Leadership area)

FIRST MEETING TIPS:

✅ Introduce yourself and share your high school journey

✅ Ask about their interests, classes, and how they're adjusting

✅ Exchange contact info (school emails only)

✅ Schedule your regular check-in times

✅ Be warm, welcoming, and authentic!

MENTORSHIP GOALS:

• Help freshmen navigate high school successfully

• Provide academic support and study strategies

• Share club/activity recommendations

• Be a positive role model and friendly face in the halls

• Check in at least twice per month

MANDATORY TRAINING:

For those who missed it: Mentorship training session is THIS Friday after school from 3:15-4:30 PM in Room 204. We'll cover:

- Effective communication skills

- Setting boundaries

- Recognizing when to refer to counselors

- Building trust and rapport

Remember: You were chosen because you demonstrate leadership, empathy, and responsibility. Your mentees are lucky to have you!
